Those of you living in Britain will be very familiar with the annual Children in Need event - that time of the year where the BBC give Terry Wogan a dusting off and hold a night of entertainment in a bid to raise record-breaking sums of cash towards helping disadvantaged kids across the country. These children can range from the homeless, the abused, the drug addicted, and the terminally ill.
This year, British magazine RetroGamer has teamed up with the saving grace of the CDi Zelda games, artist Rob Dunlavey, to offer a very unique set of items, the proceeds of which will go directly to Children in Need. The winner of the eBay auction will win a framed, signed reproduction of some of the backdrops from Link: The Faces of Evil. They’ll also receive a framed, signed A4 cover letter where Rob explains the creative forces behind the art. A copy of RetroGamer Issue 27, the CDi Zelda special, will be signed by the editorial team, and the winner will get factory-sealed copies of Dunlavey’s discography;
- Alice in Wonderland
- Sargon Chess
- Laser Lords
- Mutant Rampage - Body Slam
- Link: The Faces of Evil
- Zelda: The Wand of Gamelon
The auctioneers will ship worldwide, so there’s no excuse for the die-hard Zelda fan to miss out on this item! The bidding war will be quite fierce (as I just found out the hard way), so if you want to do an amazing thing for charity and receive this unique package, prepare yourself for a tough fight. Happy bidding!
