Phantom Hourglass - Screenshots

Nintendo have released 8 gorgeous new screenshots of the upcoming DS Zelda game, Phantom Hourglass, which you can find in our screenshot gallery.

The game is out next month in June, for those who don’t mind wading through pages of moonspeak. The rest of us will have to wait until Winter to get our hands on Link’s latest adventure, a wait made all the harder by these latest screens. The game is looking better than ever; while previous screenshots showed an overworld filled predominantly with samey green hills and sunny skies, this new batch showcases some of the new weather effects, enemies and cinematics.

Yep, after mucho time with zilch updates we end up with two in the same month.  And by two different people, no less!  Yay for us!

Anyway, I felt bad about the lack of updating.  Life being what it is, the HTML writin’ just hadn’t found time to happen.  To make up for this, I decided to update several things at once, as you can see.  I added the Poe section to TP, as well as fixing the mini-boss names, as per the official site.  Majora’s Mask also sees several updates.  New additions being the bottle locations, as well as the Heart Piece locations.  As a fun little update, I also added the Couple’s Mask to the Mask section, thus correcting its disturbing absence from that page.

Just a quick update to introduce our latest affiliate, The Hylia. A visit is highly recommended as they’re usually first with Zelda media and have some excellent Japanese translations when the rest of the internet is falling over themselves debating whether or not Aonuma really did just confirm a split timeline.

The wiser among you will have a quick check for either the four horseman or flying pigs, depending on your level of pessimism, because today I have something I haven’t done in a very long time.

I’ve made an actual content update.

While the Timeline update is still in progress, I’ve gone through the Atlas and the Races, updating the pages with as much information as I can given what Twilight Princess has taught us. I’ve also replaced all the images with transparent PNG alternatives, using art from TP wherever possible. The plan is to do this kind of thing throughout the site wherever and whenever I can, as it does add to the visual quality and ensure content isn’t out of date.

Cool Zelda DS lite mod

Wow. Check out the craftsmanship that went into this DS! I’d love to get my hands on this thing. This is a Zelda DS lite mod and it’s probably one of the sweetest mod jobs I’ve seen done to DS’s. Although those jewel ones are pretty cool I must admit. What makes the Zelda DS mod cool is not only the sweet black and gold paint job, but the metal die-cast Master Sword and Shield that they’ve placed on the front that rotates around. It also has a light under it while it’s being charged in the cool charging dock they made for it. 15% of proceeds go towards Penny Arcade’s Child’s Play charity organization.
