Attack of the Clones: Alundra 2

Wednesday 14th May

Editorials - AotC: Alundra 2

Espy has written the second in our Attack of the Clones series, where we look at games that are heavily influenced by Zelda that you guys might like to track down and play. This time round, he’s looking at the controversial Alundra 2 for the Sony PlayStation.

Hey, have you ever played Beyond Good & Evil for the GCN? It’s Zelda, but with a staff and a pictobox as your main weapons.

Very heavily influenced by the Zelda series. If Espy has time, I think that would be a great game to write his next article on.

I haven’t played it, but if I see it around I’ll definitely consider it. I’ve heard a lot of good things about it!

Yeah I’ve heard great things about that game. Personaly I’ll be looking at Fable, Terranigma and Goemon 64 as my AotC games.

I’m glad to see we won’t be overlapping, then!

Beyond Good and Evil iis like 10 bucks in Steam.

Espy - Friday 16th May 11:58 am

And probably on every other console.

General Salt - Friday 16th May 07:32 pm

But you don’t have to look for it now.

CorvosKK - Friday 16th May 11:48 pm

Yeah, personally I’d play the console version. I’ve played both the console and PC versions, and to me, the console version is better.

If you want to play it just for the review though, I’d go with whatever is easier. You can also get the game if you have GameTap.

Beyond Good and Evil is most certainly worth picking up. At 10 bucks it’s a steal. Very fun, very awesome game. Speaking of which, ever played Okami?

Although, I’ve been debating an editorial that takes a more devil’s advocate approach to this whole notion of “Zelda clone” games ;)

General Salt - Thursday 22nd May 10:48 pm

Okami was fucking awesome. Even better than TP in my opinion

Nexus Zero - Tuesday 10th June 08:02 pm

I’ve been playing a Zelda clone called Crusader of Centy on the Mega Drive. The article should be comedy gold.
