E3 a Week Away

Tuesday 8th July

It’s almost that time of year again - E3 begins on June 15th. E3 was, up until recently, the biggest video games expo there was, and while it has been shrunk somewhat in recent years, it is still a respected event, and many companies use it to make major announcements.

Nintendo’s press conference will be held on the 15th at 9AM in the California-based event. There are some things which are almost certain to be announced - Nintendo have been teasing about a new Animal Crossing game for a while now - but will the next Zelda game be announced? I’d guess that if we’re going to see a new Zelda game within the next 18 months, then yes, there will be. Twilight Princess was first unveiled at E3 2004 (who can forget Shigsy swinging his Master Sword and Hylian Shield about to introduce the game?), and given the series’ greater success in the West than the East, E3 would be the perfect place.

Be sure to check back next week - I promise to drop everything I’m doing to give you all the info you need on Zelda’s future.

So guys - Zelda unveiled at E3 - yay or nay? Any other predictions for the event? I’m hoping the rumours of a new Skies of Arcadia are true, though they don’t hold much weight right now.

I myself am hoping for a new Kid Icarus game revealed for the Wii. As for Zelda? Nay for me, it just seems too soon.

Espy, you’re so dedicated to Zelda. I love you. I will see you in a week.

machbrawl - keep in mind that Twilight Princess was first unveiled only a year after the release of The Wind Waker.

TMP - Wednesday 9th July 04:20 pm

It’s never too soon for Zelda, because once they anounce it it will take forever and a half before it is actually released.

Nexus Zero - Friday 11th July 06:41 am

Soooo excited. I don’t have my money on any new Zelda, for either DS or Wii. And that doesn’t have anything to do with the fact work on the new site hasn’t started yet :p

I was going to start getting a Kid Icarus fansite together in preperation for what I bet will be Nintendo’s big gamer’s game this year. But I was too lazy.

Now if only they would open E3 to the public again… ><

Yea on a new Zelda game, IF it’s a sequel to TP. otherwise, we’re going to have to wait a while.

… i definitely have my fingers crossed.
