Transformation Masks   Deku Mask The Deku Mask is the first mask you get in the game, but only because Skull Kid forces it on your face. You turn into a Deku Scrub when wearing it, with a set of trumpets to match. Your first mission in the game is to take the mask off, but you have to complete a task for the Happy Mask Salesman first. When Link is a Deku Scrub, he has many new moves including the ability to do a running spin attack, and to hover with the help of special flowers. Also, the mask grants you entry to the Deku Palace.     Zora Mask A rocker gives you the Zora Mask moments before he dies as thanks for rescuing him from the sea. The cheek. While wearing the mask, you are transformed into a Zora, and the water becomes your playground. While a Zora you can literally glide through the sea in scenes reminiscent of Ecco the Dolphin. Zora Link is also quite a fighter, with an arsenal of kung-fu kicks and punches, and set of twin fin boomerangs.     Goron Mask The Goron Mask is given to you by the ghost of an old Goron. When you wear it, you are transformed into a Goron named Damani. You gain abilities such as the megaton punch and power slam. But the best new ability is the way you can curl up into a ball, and zoom around the landscape, hammering any enemies in your path.     Giant's Mask Only used when fighting Twinmold in the Stone Tower Temple, this mask makes you grow until you can crash around the landscape, destroying towering stone pillars beneath your feet. To get the mask you must first defeat Eyegore, sub-boss of the Stone Tower Temple.     Fierce Deity's Mask This mask is used to turn you into Oni-Link in any of the boss rooms. You grow, turn white, and have a massive twin blade sword which fires magic pulses. But first, you need all of the other masks! Inside the Moon, talk to all of the kids and give them all the masks they want, and in the end they'll give you this mask before the final fight.   [Back to top] OTHER MASKS   Keaton Mask The Keaton Mask can be used to summon Keaton, popular Hyrulian children's star, for the Keaton Quiz. To find him, run up to bushes that scurry off while wearing this mask, and start swinging your sword. There are a lot of steps to getting this mask, but the quest is easily the most enjoyable of all the Bomber's Notebook quests. 1. On Day 1, wait until the postman has visited Anju between the hours of 1 and 2pm, you can listen to their conversation if you like. Anju will be in the Stock Pot Inn, so talk to her with the Kafei Mask on. She will agree to meet you at night in the kitchen. 2. After 11pm, go to the outside of the Stock Pot Inn and find the Deku Leaf. You can use it to fire yourself up to the Inn's back door. Go to the kitchen and wait for Anju. You will receive a letter that you should post. 3. In the morning, post the letter. Wait at the same post box for the Postman to pick the letter up and follow him to Kafei's house. Go inside and talk to Kafei. He will give you a pendant. 4. Go back to Anju in the Stock Pot Inn and give her the pendant. On the third day, go back to Kafei's house and speak to the Man From The Curiosity Shop. He shall give you the Keaton Mask and the letter which you will need to use to get the Postman's Hat.     All-Night Mask The All-Night Mask is used to stay awake during Anju's Grandmother's stories for a heart piece. To get it, stop Sakon from robbing the Old Lady at midnight, Day 1, North Clock Town. Then, on the Final Day, you can buy this mask from the Curiosity Shop for 500 rupees.     Kafei's Mask If you are ever asking about the whereabouts of Kafei, Madame Aroma's lost son, wear this mask. I suggest talking to Anju with it on. Speak to Madame Aroma to get it.     Postman's Hat While wearing this hat, you can look into mail boxes to receive money. It's not really worth it as the sum of money is ludicrously small. You get it by giving Kafei's Letter to the postman on the last night, and following him until he delivers it. To get that letter, see Keaton Mask.     Romani's Mask By wearing this mask you are permitted entrance to the Latte after 8pm. Romani gives it to you when you protect her milk carriage from thieves the Gorman Brothers.     Captain's Hat When you are wearing this hat, you can speak to Stalchilds who are located in the graveyard. This opens up mini dungeons you can play through to win stuff. To get it, you have to defeat the really big Stalchild at the very top of the graveyard.     Kamaro's Mask While wearing this mask, you can dance by holding B. The music is kinda catchy, but if you dance in front of the Rosa Sisters at night you might get more from the mask. To get it, you have to go to the ice mushroom structures in Termina field at night. Play the Song of Healing to the guy dancing at the top of one of them.     Blast Mask This mask is really useful, especially if you run out of bombs. If you are wearing it, you can press B to make an explosion. This will take half a heart from your life bar if you haven't raised your shield. To get it, on Day 1 at midnight be in North Clock Town and wait for thief Sakon to appear. Stop him from robbing the Old Lady, and she'll give the mask to you.     Circus Leader's Mask Defending Romani's Milk Cart was never easy, but if you wear this mask then it becomes a lot easier. In the Latte, play the songs they give you on stage in all of Link's guises. Gorman will be most impressed and he gives you this mask.     Couple's Mask The Couple's Mask is used to obtain a Heart Piece from Mayor Dotour. Just talk to him while wearing the mask to end the argument, and he'll justly reward you. The Curiosity Shop owner also tells you that Kafei followed Sakon to his hideout in Ikana Canyon. Head to the canyon's base, then follow the path until you reach a dead-end with some rock and a Business Scrub. Behind the rocks awaits Kafei. Either hang out with him there until sunset, or put on your Stone Mask and wait. Once Sakon Shows up, follow him into his hideout. From here on, the control will switch between Link and Kafei as they open a series of doors. Link simply needs to defeat all of the enemies. Kafei, meanwhile, must move a series of blocks until he can step on a blue switch. Remember that the red switches will speed up the conveyer belt, while the yellow switches slow it down. Once you get to the last room, Kafei will receive the Sun Mask. 6. Head back to Clock Town and enter the Stock Pot Inn. If you've followed all the steps outlined above (most importantly giving Anju the pendant), Anju will be waiting in the Employees Only room of the Stock Pot Inn. Enter the room and wait with her for Kafei's return. He runs in with seconds to spare, and the couple will hand you the Couple's Mask. Garo's Mask When you see the strange person on the Road To Ikana Canyon, speak to them wearing this mask. They produce a tree for you to Hookshot to so you can continue. To obtain the mask, you need to beat the Gormon Brothers in a horse race.     Stone Mask The Stone Mask is sometimes a necessity, as it makes many enemies ignore you. On the Road To Ikana Castle, you should see a ring of stones on the ground. Use the Lens Of Truth and you will see Shiro, an injured guard. If you give him a Blue Potion, he will give you this mask in return.     Bremen Mask The Bremen Mask is used to round up all the chicks for Grog in the Cucco Shack. You hold B to start marching. The chicks follow you, but you walk very slowly, so don't let go of B or you'll spend ages recollecting the scattered Cuccos. To get the mask, talk to Guru Guru at night; you can find him near Kafei's Home.     Bunny Hood This new Bunny Hood makes you run fast, and it makes a lot of things like jumps and timed side quests a lot easier. It will be one of your most used masks. To get it, round up all the chicks for Grog using the Bremen Mask.     Great Fairy's Mask Wear this mask in dungeons. If the hair on this mask sparkles, it means there are stray fairies in the same room as you. It also attracts them towards you when they are out of reach. Bring a Stray Fairy from Clock Town to the Great Fairy who resides in North Clock Town to receive it.     Mask of Truth This mask is used to get information from the Gossip Stones. You can also speak to dogs with it on. You have to collect all 30 Golden Skulltulas from the Swamp Spider House to get it.     Mask of Scents If you wear this while in the toilet of the Stock Pot Inn, a gas comes up from out of the toilet and if you bottle it and quickly take it to the Magic Hag's Potion Shop you can create a new potion. To get it you have to chase the Deku Butler through the maze next to the Deku Palace. Wearing the Bunny Mask will make this task easier.     Don Gero's Mask While wearing this mask, talk to the four frogs that are scattered through out Termina (Laundry Pool, Woodfall Temple, Great Bay Temple, Southern Swamp) and take them to the orchestra out side the Mountain Smithy to get a Heart Piece. To get it, give the stranded Goron the meat from Goron Village.     Gibdo's Mask With this mask, you can make ReDeads dance which makes them a whole lot easier to kill, and you can also talk to the Gibdos who are Beneath The Well, which means you can get some items and supplies. To get this mask go to the Music Box House and play the Song Of Healing to the Gibdo in the closet.   [Back to top]
