Zelda's Adventure was
the last CDi Zelda game,
released June 5th 1994.
It was developed by a
company called Viridis,
different to Animation
Magic who were behind
the first two. This
becomes more readily
apparent when you see
the different approach
Viridis take to making a
Zelda game. Rather than
use the Adventure of
Link-style gameplay
found in the two
previous games, Zelda's
Adventure uses a
traditional top-down
view like A Link to the
Past. It also uses
live-action FMV
(complete with bad
acting) in place of the
jarring cartoons, and
sprites have constructed
from real footage.
The plot is like The
Wand of Gamelon's; Ganon
has kidnapped Link and
stolen the seven heaven
signs, ushering an Age
of Darkness. The castle
astrologer Gaspra tells
Zelda that she has to
collect the signs and
defeat Ganon to save
Link and restore the
country. |
