Overview

It Spaceworld 2000, Nintendo wowed the world yet again, with the unveiling of the tiny GameCube. Many technical demos were showed to an amazed crowd, and a lot of those went on to become full games. There was a Zelda reel too, and this was presumed to be the new Zelda game, but one year later Nintendo surprised the world with a vastly different Wind Waker.

In this technical demo, Link and Ganondorf are in a dark, highly detailed room. Ganondorf taunts Link, and a spectacular sword fight ensures. They move fluidly and realistically, and at the time it was hard to notice flaws in their character models. The Master Sword, the weapon that Link uses, was especially amazing as it seemed to reflect everything in the room in real time (though it is clearer now that it doesn't).
