Tingle's Balloon Fight is a Nintendo DS version of the NES classic Balloon Fight, with Tingle replacing the Balloon Fighter and updated graphics. The cover parodies the nature of this port, with cellotape affixing Tingle's scribbled name and picture over the iconic logo and artwork. It was released in 2006 as a reward to Japanese Club Nintendo platinum members (requiring 400 points or more).

In Balloon Fight, players are given the opportunity to enact a fantasy first conjured in Majora's Mask and doubtlessly exasperated in The Wind Waker; that is, drowning Tingle a limitless ocean. Though, if you wish to earn points and 'win' the proper way, the aim of Balloon Fight is to defeat all the enemies on a given level. The fastest method is to pop an enemy's balloon as it flies above water so that it drowns. If it survives by reaching land, Tingle has to defeat it before it has a chance to take flight again. However, enemies are also out to pop Tingle's balloons, and if Tingle drowns or is eaten by a fish (oh no) then it's game over. Cunningly, Tingle has two balloons, so if the first is popped flight is rendered clumsier, but he has, at least, escaped our vengeful hands once again.

Tingle's Balloon Fight was advertised as a free gift for platinum members of the Japanese Club Nintendo on the Nintendo homepage. This image from the website illustrates the choice members were faced with; a personalised Mii battery cover, or a copy of Balloon Fight.
